THE LAST WITNESS
The year is 2039, and Jack Fisher is the last living survivor of the Holocaust. Set in a world that is abysmally complacent about events of the last century, Jack is a 100-year-old man whose worst memories took place before he was 5. His story hearkens back to the Jewish ghetto of his birth and to Auschwitz where, as a little boy, he had to fend for himself to survive after losing his family. Jack becomes the central figure in a missing-person investigation when his granddaughter suddenly disappears. While assisting police, he finds himself in danger and must reach into the darkest corners of his memory to come out alive.

GIFT OF THE BAMBINO
It is 1914. A young boy takes in a baseball game with his father and sees a tall, lanky Babe Ruth hit his first home run as a professional. The ball sails through the sky and drops into the bay just beyond the fence. Thus begins an epic tale of hopes and dreams that the boy takes with him on the journey of life. He shares it with no one as he toils through triumph and tragedy, and not until he finally confides in his own grandson some two generations later is his struggle vindicated.

DUTY: The Life of a Cop
As Toronto's chief of police from 2000 to 2005, Julian Fantino faced a seemingly endless array of challenges: issues of ethnic sensitivity, rising crime rates, budget battles, corruption and vendettas, political spats, a hostile media, and finally, his controversial and contentious dismissal. This brutally frank, hard-hitting memoir describes both his humble beginnings in Italy and his rise through the police ranks, recounting with humour, passion, and honesty the details of a life devoted to public service.
BABE RUTH - A Superstar's Legacy
BABE RUTH - A Superstar's Legacy explores the legacy of Babe Ruth on many different fronts, both in and beyond baseball. It involves sport, culture, business, the arts, and in no small dose, humanity. This is unlike any book ever written about the remarkable icon who captured America and the world, and is a testament to his enduring appeal.
VICTIMS: The Orphans of Justice
What began as an article in Toronto Life magazine evolved into this book which explored how a young woman was murdered by a perfect stranger. The killer, found guilty of first-degree murder, had been let out of federal penitentiary one week earlier on his automatic release.
The victim’s father was an ex-police officer who waged a relentless campaign against federal authorities which culminated in his forming a group called Victims of Violence.
Victims: The Orphans of Justice is an in-depth look at violent crimes committed by offenders free on parole
and mandatory release. It led to the author’s column Justice For All in the Toronto Sun.
